John Jamieson

John Jamieson has been with SouthStar Energy Services (d/b/a Georgia Natural Gas) since its inception in 1998 and held several roles within the company, including strategic planning, market development and business analysis. He was named vice president of retail operations in 2003 and senior vice president in 2007. In this position, he is responsible for all customer-facing operations, including commercial and industrial sales, retail marketing, customer service and billing. In addition, he plays a key role in the company’s forecasting and planning, business process outsourcing and strategic growth initiatives. Mr. Jamieson has over 19 years of experience in the natural gas industry managing both regulated and deregulated businesses. Prior to joining SouthStar, he spent six years with Atlanta-based AGL Resources.

Mr. Jamieson has been active in a number of volunteer activities that further the company’s mission to promote children and education, seniors and overall community well-being. He currently serves on the boards of the Thanks Mom and Dad Fund®, Imagine It! Children’s Museum, and Hands on Georgia.

He received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Clemson University in 1991 and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University in 1995. John lives in Vinings with his wife and two children.
